Rovensa Next appoints Riccardo Vanelli as Chief Commercial Officer
Vanelli, who joined last March as Head of EMEA, has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer to fulfil Rovensa Next’s ambition of becoming the trusted global leader in Biosolutions for sustainable agriculture.
With over 20 years of experience leading companies in the agricultural sector, Riccardo Vanelli brings extensive expertise in business and market knowledge, strategic thinking, organisation, change management, operations and sales.
Madrid, 1 October 2024 – Rovensa Next, the global biosolutions business unit of Rovensa Group, strengthens its leadership by appointing Riccardo Vanelli as Chief Commercial Officer.
Vanelli, who joined Rovensa Next in March as Head of EMEA, has been appointed as CCO to reinforce the company’s commercial presence by building close relationships with customers, distributors, and growers, whist offering optimum support to enhance their productivity and solving their sustainability challenges. This includes providing essential tools to shape the agriculture of the future, ensuring production, and helping businesses become as sustainable as possible while protecting the environment.

Vanelli has 20 years of experience in the agricultural industry. He began his career in management consultancy at Accenture, specialising in business process reengineering and change management. He later transitioned to Syngenta, as the Head of Biologicals Business Unit for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, following his earlier role as Crop Protection Business Unit Head & Managing Director Italy. Riccardo’s strategic thinking and skills in organisation, operations, and sales led him to spearhead the regional integration of Valagro into Syngenta, where he served as president in his final year. Among other roles, he has also chaired the Crop Protection Industry Association in Italy serving as President of Agrofarma. In this new role, as CCO, Vanelli takes on an exciting challenge, given to Rovensa Next’s global presence and extensive sales network in more than 90 countries.
